Professor Sospeter Muhongo, Full Professor of Geology at the University of Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania), Fellow of the Geological Society of Africa (GSAf), Geological Society of London (GSL) and the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS); and Chair of the International Geosciences Program (IGCP) of UNESCO and IUGS, has been appointed Director of the Regional Office.
